  • question about b2 visa

    hey everyone,
i am a newly graduated doctor, now working at a large government hospital with a good salary but as i am new at the job i will not be getting paid for the first 3 months so no bank documents to show... my mother (who is also a doctor) and i are planning to visit relatives in the US early next year... for personal reasons, my mother will be financing this trip for me... my question is does this fall under the category of sponsorship even though my mother does not live in the US... on the ds 160 when they ask who is financing the trip should i mention my mothers name? and should i show my mothers bank documents during the interview... do you think this will create a problem for me?
    thanks in advance

They can deny you just like that thinking a young , single ( I assume) doctor is not likely to return, especially when your purpose of visit is casual.
And if you will show dependence on your mother
for finances (you will have to write mother's name to who is paying for the trip , because you do not have your own income proof), it will add another negative to
    your chances.

I suggest you apply only when you have worked at least a year on your job and you have your own income to show.
Travel abroad to other countries before applying for a US visa as that counts.
