ASAP: Attend a 3 day certification workshop on Visitor visa in US

hi...so my nephew who is in India wants to do a 3 day certification workshop (athletics) here in the US. He has a valid visitor visa from his previous trip.

Please let me know if its legal to attend the workshop and get his certification. Need reply ASAP. He'll probably be staying here for a month.
