  • Visitor Visa - Time between trips

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a valid holder of American B1/B2 Visitors Visa. It is a 10 year
multiple entry visa. I recently visited the USA to meet family and friends
and was there for approximately 5 1/2 months. I returned to India 2 weeks
ago. However, I have certain personal circumstances that may require me to
travel to the United States again in November for approx. 1 month. Am I
able to legally travel to the United States? Is there any legal restriction
or buffer period between visits that I need to keep in mind?

    Regards

there is no hard and fast rule about the interval between two visit but they judge on the basis of the length of your last stay and your purpose.

Since your last stay was quite long 5 months plus and purpose casual , you must keep a distance of about 4-5 months to the next visit.

If it is a business visit they may allow.

For casual, personal or tourism visits, you need to wait for another 5 to 6 months.

      What is your purpose?

This is my opinion not a legal advice.

US Multiple Entry within the same year

        Hi,

I had a question regarding, how many months gap does a visitor need to have before they can travel back to United States.

For example if some one arrives in the United States in December 2014 and departs in March 2015, can they come back again in July 2015 and stay for another three months or so ?

Can you please give some suggestions regarding this ?

        Thanks
        Srinidhi
