I WAS DENIED B2 TOURIST VISA AT THE US EMBASSY IN OSLO.I AM A POLISH CITIZEN LIVING IN NORWAY FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW.I HAVE A PERMANENT WORK IN NORWAY PLUS I AM ALSO SELF EMPLOYED WITH MY OWN COMPANY.THE LADY AT THE EMBASSY ASKED JUST TWO QUESTIONS...1)HOW LONG HAVE I LIVED IN NORWAY.OF WHICH I REPLIED 2YEARS.2)IF I HAVE ANY FAMILY MEMBER HERE IN NORWAY..WHICH I SAID NO.SHE THEN GAVE ME A LETTER STATAING TAT I HAVE BEEN DENIED VISA UNDER SECTION 214b...I ASKED HER WHY SHE COULDNT EXPLAIN...I AM THINKING OF REAPPLYING FROM POLAND AND NOT NORWAY.ANY HELP?

Mainly the decision is made by the officer by reading the info you provide on the form DS160 .
So please post what you wrote on the form;

1.purpose of visit; who are you visiting?
2.duration required;
3.any relatives in US? on what visas
4.who is funding the trip?
5.income in Norway
6 single or married
7. family in Poland? other ties ( house, work) in Poland?

Purpose of visit=to see friends
duration=10days..
Date of travel=1 july 2015
no relatives in us.
I am funding my own trip.
Income in norway..i stated 20000 krones every months
civil status=divorced
i work in norway permanently in norway.no family ties.

Since you moved from Poland to Norway , they think you have high potential to move to US also.
So you must show strong ties to Norway to get the visa. reasons for rejection

1.casual purpose to visit friends
2. no family ties in Norway .
3. Your job could be another reason ; can you tell me if 2000 k/month is low, medium of high income . I am not in Norway so I do not know about their income
standards. Also, what is your work , who is your employer and how long have you been with this employer?

20000 krones is about 2800euroes....its kinda crazy..must i have family in norway in other to visit america for 10days?my major question is -is it advisable to to apply in poland my home country?i applied in norway just because i work there.

yes, it sounds crazy but that is how it is . If you were a native Norwegian, they could have given it to you. But like I said , you are a migrant to begin with, so
with no family ties in Norway , you are very likely not to return from US.

You should apply where you have residence and work. So Poland will not work.

You have not given the details of your
employment ( length of work with the current employer, what is your work title, who is your employer) all that counts as well.
If that is a weak point, you can change that in the future and apply again.

And PURPOSE; if it is a business purpose ( eg conference, seminar related to your work/profession) , chances are better.

I belive the date of travel is correct and if it is 15 th July 2015 ..... then the rejection is because of that and thats my strong reason ....
