  • Visitor visa for a younger sibling

    Hi,

I am currently on an H-1B visa. Been in US since about 5 years now (had entered US as an F1 student).
My parents got their visitor visa done last year (haven't visited US yet).
We are currently in process of applying for a visitor visa for my younger sister.
She is in her 3rd year at college (Bachelor's) and has another year to complete her degree. She is applying alone (and has mentioned in the DS-160 that she will be traveling alone).
    ● Will that be a problem? Is she considered a potential immigrant?

    Also,
    ● In DS-160, is it ok to mention that I am paying for her visit or should it be our parents?

    ● What kind of questions will she be asked?

    Thanks.

It does not matter whether you are paying for it or your parents. Just write truthfully.

      Thanks for the reply.

Just to be prepared, what kind of questions will she be asked?
