Planning to call in-law's

We are planning to call my In-laws to the US, the question is who should be the sposor? me or my wife?
My annual income is 70K and my wifes 35K.
We have joint bank account.
The instructions for I-134 here says even the wife is the sponsor put the total income for both in "I derive annual income of :"

Hi!

Would suggest you to sponser than your wife as your income is double hers which might help (not too sure atleast the reason of not sufficient funds will not come up).

I will sponsor, also add her documents(employment letter). I see currently Jan 31st available for appointment in Mumbai(in laws stay in Mumbai).
