got a appointment date for mid Feb, what next?

Got a online appointment date for Feb 15th at Bombay, after getting the fee reciept number.

What next?

I know i have to send them all the documents described at https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visitor...sor-documents/

Do they have to go to VFS (US VFS?) to hand over any document (application with photo and supporting document including orignial birth certificate before 5 days of appointment ?)

Or can the just go to the consulate on Interview date with all the documents?

Sorry, but not clear if the documentation also needs me to send original birth certificate to VFS before the intervie?

I too have same question, which documents should we send to Mumbai consulate before an interview ? I have scheduled appointment for my parents in the next month & I'm trying to find out some info about this.
