Number of Bank Statements Required

My husband is in US for past one month. I would have an opportunity to travel in this month. I am planning to take my kid and mother with me. I want to initiate tourist visa for my mother and my husband would be sponsoring her. Please let me know will it be sufficient to submit just one month bank statement for processing tourist visa.

However, if it has a lot of money that can easily show that it would very well take of her trip expenses, that may be OK.
