Query for US Visitor Visa for me and my wife

Dear Sirs,

i am planning to apply for visitor visa for me(age-28) and my wife for 2 weeks. i am working with MNC company from last 4 years and earning approx 4 Lacs a year. Now, my Parents and younger brother are in US from last 4 years and on "Legal permanent resident". They have filed my immigrant petition in 2011, when i was unmarried/single. Now i dont know that petition is valid for me or not.

Now our purpose to visit US to see my Mother, who has cancer and taking treatment there and spend some time with her and support her emotionally and my father and brother.

if possible please try to respond my below query :
a) since i dont have much savings in my bank accounts, we have decided that my brother/father will sponsor me for trip. - Is it proper decision ??? we have to ask for sponsor or not ??? is it mark negative and affect our visa??
b) can we use bank account(in india) of my father or family members to support my financial ties ????
c) can we use agriculture land and other property documents in india having my father name as strong tie with india ?
d) do my immigrant petition filed in india will affect the visa issuance ??

For self funding, savings are not important but income is. And with your income of 4 lacs you will have to ask for sponsorship. It basically means you cannot answer "SELF" to the question on the form "WHO is paying for the trip?" but will have to answer "brother or father ".

Self funding is always better but mentioning the host as funding also works . It all depends on the officer , how he perceives the whole picture of your
purpose of visit and life situation.

father's account and land won't be required for the application as they can't be mentioned in the form and should not be mentioned.

Your past immigrant petition is not valid anymore but you will have to answer yes to the question " has anyone filed an immigrant petition on your behalf?"
again it depends on the officer how he takes that .
