I have arranged to go stay with my girlfriend for 6 months in the Us (and I'm coming from England.) as we are both in need of some time together and we both want me to go spend thanksgiving with her family plus Christmas and I've never been abroad before. I didn't realise how complex and long it would take to just get granted the ability to get to hers as we arranged it in July n hoped I could go join her on her flight when she went home from her holiday at mine back in September but its taken right up till now to get the passport acro forms etc and last thing is the Visa. I'm a little worried as she keeps thinking they may be unfair somehow and if I dissapoint them with my interview or application I could be blocked from going. Can anyone be kind enough to help me understand exactly what I'd need to send in with my apication and take to my interview? Or any helpful advice? We both feel bit overwhelmed by it all. Lastly would telling them I'm on secure long-term disablement sickness benefit wit . Housing benefit secured with holiday leave actually go in my favour with embassy or against my chances? if you are a UK citizen, just go to US on your visa waiver privilege( ESTA) for 90 days. The reason is there is no guarantee you will get the visa, and if
your visa application is rejected, you will not be able to use your ESTA either. -
