Visitor/Tourist visa for my vacation during my one month leave

I am 30 years old and an Engineer in a big and popular Oil and gas company
in Nigeria. I intend traveling to U.S.A for my annual leave next year APRIL, 2015 and
will stay in hotel during my stay. I am a permanent staff, well paid and also have a building
and land in Nigeria. I am single and have never traveled out of Nigeria before,
What is my chance and any advice on how to obtain a visa.

Hello, Muyiwa.

No one can, with certainty, predict the outcome of a visa interview. What one can do is, present a good case before the visa officer.

Your profile seems alright - just a couple of things which, if worked on, might strengthen your case further. The first one, which you cannot do anything about, is marriage. You are single so chances of not returning are there as you have nothing to tie you back to your home country (from settled down individual perspective). So, let us leave this.

Second - you have not travelled anywhere outside your country. And, straightaway want to travel to USA, this might not go down well with the visa officer. So, if possible, do visit some neighbouring country (or the continent even) before your appear for the interview next year (or whenever the interview is).

I am hoping you are paid well (as you mention), enough from the Visa Officer' perspective.
