US visitor visa, need information

My parents were rejected twice in 2003. Now my mom is planning to apply alone. However their passport was issued in calcutta and the address in the passport is the calcutta address that we lived in before. I was wondering if this time we should change the address to their present address in Mumbai. Will that be a factor in determining if visa is issued /rejected. Also there is another problem in changing address. They have Uk and Schengen visas in their current passport. We are afraid that they will be issued a new passport and hence loose their proof that they visited these countries. I don't know what I should do. Please help.........

Is their other visas still active? If yes then they will be issued a new passport and will mention that all pages on the old passport are cancelled except valid visa pages. SO they will have to caryy both the passports together.
