  • B2 visa after previous F1 and B2 rejection

    Hi,
I am a US citizen and my sister and her family is applying for US B2 visa. She had applied for F1 visa in 2004-2005 and it was rejected 3 times, since then she had applied for B2 twice and it was rejected as well. Last time was during my graduation in 2009.
    Here are the facts,
-She is currently not working and has a 1year old
-her husband has a government job and makes around 4.5 lakhs annually.
    - they have been living in the same apartment for last 5 years and has the lease till end of next year.
    - I am sponsoring them for the visit ( filled i-134 form and other doc)
    - She and her husband are partial owner of 2 properties and farmland
-our mother will be in India and not traveling with them but she has 10yrs B2 visa.

what are the chances for her you get the visa, the whole family is applying together.
what document should they show other than leave sanction letter, employment, lease and property docs? Is this enough ties? She is not interested in studying anymore but will the previous F1 application show different intend? Please help.
    thanks for your response.

her previous rejections were many years ago, so they won't matter much.

Her current application will be seen in a new light of her present life situation.

Since she is married with a child, chances are better this time. Though her husband's income is on the lower side, some officers can overlook this as you are sponsoring.

Documents are not really important as the current trend is the officers decide mainly from the information you provide on the DS 160 form
and without looking at any documents.
But one must carry all the documents as one or two may be asked for especially the sponsor's income proof and his passport copy.
