Took along several supporting documents, none of which the officer looked at. I'm aware that the docs don't count as much as their perceived intent for your application. I was denied under Section 214 b.
I will be visiting a friend I've known online for 4 years. The officer asked me what my reason for going to the US was, I said a visit. He asked where I'd be staying, and I said with my friend (I state this in my application too) he asked how we know each other, and I responded we met via an online forum. He asked how long we know each other, I said since 2010. He asked if my friend had visited here before, and I said no...
After those few questions he advised my application was declined.
I have thought about it, and realize that the form asked no questions about my kids. I definitely intend for this to be a short holiday! Have my return flight booked and a letter from my employer.
Please advise. Would it help if my daughter's father provides an affidavit re our daughter and my return?
I have submitted a new application. My flight is booked for 27/12/2014.
