Hello, I am planing on taking a sabatical year with my family (wife plus 3 children under 12). We eould like to spend 9 / 10 months in USA.
My financial status is sound and I have very strong attachments to my country (Germany): I own a house and the rest of my family live all here.
Which visa should I apply for? If it is a b2 I am concerned with the 6 months limitations. Could I extend the stay just for the sake of reaching the 9 / 10 months I have planned for.
One of the reasons of this (long) trip is for my children to improve their English level. Could they attend clases in a public school? Does it make any difference if I choose a private one? If this is an issue regardind the visa, which one should I apply for?
