Mother's Name on Passport

Hi
I am planning to call my parents to US on visitor visa.

My mother's name on passport is based on her metriculation certificate and doesn't include family 'last name'. But the other documnets i.e. my father passport / bank statments / my passport have my mother's full name.

Do we need to get a new passport (or change of name process) for my mother for this? or can we still go ahead with VISA process? Any information in this regard will be really helpful.

Her name after marriage is her actual name now and will be entered
in embassy records with her fingerprints so she must give them the correct
full name the first time to avoid later hassles.

So, she must go to the passport authority and have her current
full name entered in the passport before applying for the visa.

You don't need to do anything.

Your mother can visa as per her passport name, which is the name before marriage. It is not necessary to change the name after marriage and therefore not necessary to get new passport.

However, if you would like to her visa in new name after marriage, you need to get it changed in the passport.

Hi!
Name difference will not be a problem just that her visa will be issued in the name thats one her passport. All forms (I94 etc ) she fills out here in US will need to be filled out as per her visa/passport name.

If you want consistency in all then you might want to get it corrected on the passport.

Another Query

Now i have one more query here. Which name should i use in the sponsorship document / Affidavit of support document? Should i include last name in the sponsorship document / Affidavit of Support document?

- Name written on the Passport
- or Name as appearing on Father /my passport that include last name

If you ar enot going to change anything then I would suggest you to use the name as it appears in the passport.
