US B2 Visitor Visa for Parent, Surname Blank in passport

I am planning to apply US visa for my parent but their passports does not have Surname.

I am wondering would there be any issue in

1) Receiving Visitor Visa

2) If Visa is granted, Can there be any issues being in US with it.

Please advise if you have recently filled a VISA for your parents with such condition.

please fill the DS 160 form as per the passport. In surname coloumn mention SNU (Surname unknown) This is what I did and got the visa

When was your visa was stamped ? Some sites have suggested even though any name is missing

The First name should be kept FNU and For Surname use the name.

Ex For my Father

Give Name : Ramesh Kumar
Surname : Blank

Then it should be mentioned as FNU RAMESH KUMAR
