I have sent the following documents to my mother-in-law for her visa interview:
These are the documents i sent to my mother-in-law and asked her to send this to VFS 5 days before the interview. Please let me know if i'm missing anything. I have also some specific questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated:
1. DS-156 attached along with the signed checklist.
2. DS-157
3. I-134
4. I-797 Notice of Action (h1-B extension)
5. Employment letter addressed to American Consulate General
6. Letter from my bank + past12 months monthly statements.
7. My letter to Consulate general requesting to grant visitors visa
8. My invitation letter to my mother-in-law
9. Earning statements ( 11/30, 11/15, 10/15, 9/15) -
(I don't have 10/30 and 9/30 hope it wont be a problem)
10. Tax returns 1040 forms (I dont have the forms for 2004, I only sent 2003,2002 and 2001)
11. W2 forms - 2004.2003,2002,2001
12. Birth certificate (original my wifes and mine)
13. Mywife's passport copy (all pages)
14. My passport copy (all pages)
15. Marriage Certificate
16. Interview Appointment letter. (printout)
Questions about I-134:
1. I-134 - I only filled the curreent balance in my checking account ( Is 10-15000 enough ?)
2. I didn't fill the life insurance and others things. I have a LIC policy in India , can i include this?
Is it enough just to mention my annual salary and that i have $10-15000 savings?
Questions about Tax statements (1040)
1. I only have the 1040 EZ forms for years 2003,2002 and 2001. I dont have the one for 2004 as i filed my returns online and do not have a 1040 form printed out. Is this OK?
2. However I have included all the $2 forms.
Question about letter from bank and bank statements:
1. My letter from and the statements are not original letters. They are faxed lettersand staements. WOuld this be an issue?
Should my mother-in-law send all the documents i mentioned above? Has she missed anything?
Should she send the property documents to VFS? or is itenough to carry them with her when she goes for interview.
my mother in law doesn't have the birth certificates of her two children who are studying in India.But she has their passports. Is this enoguh to show the passports instead of birth center.
