Hi,
I am planning to invite my Sisterin-law and her son during the summer holidays (May) for 2 months.
Can I send the invitation letter to US consulate and the Invitation letter to them for 2 months?

does this mean the Visa will be given for only 2 months?
or in general wil they give for 10 years?
will it be a issue if we ask for 2 months only?


2) can I send one inviationbn letter to both Sister-in-law and her son?
or should I send 2 letters?

what is the duration of the vistor visa given?
is it 10 years (or) 6 months?

If we keep request for visa for 2 months, will the officer give it for 6 months (or) 10 years?

You can send one invitation letter, mentioning both the names if they are attending the interview together or else you may send two of them separately.

Even if you request for 1 month visa they'll grant depending on the eligibility as per their own norms any where between 1 month and 10 years.

But request as per the itinerary you planned and specifically as per the nature of visit. As per me 4 - 6 weeks is okay, any way they give more than that.
