  • B2 Visa got denied

    Hi Guys,

My Parents B2 visa has been denied. The consulate only asked them what my parents do and to whom they wanted to meet in USA. Just that. Consulate took 5 minutes to look some information in his machine and said he can not give Visa to them. Consulate did not even asked for any document or any relevant thing.

Any one has any thought why it would had happened like that?

Any guess if I can apply again and after what time period should I apply?

While conducting visa interviews, consular officers look at each application individually and consider the applicant's circumstances, travel plans, financial resources, and ties outside of the United States that will ensure the applicant’s departure after a temporary visit. Ties are the aspects of your life that bind you to your place of residence. Strong ties vary from country to country, city to city, and person to person, but examples include your job, your home; and/or your relationships with family and friends. As each person’s situation is different, there is no set answer as to what constitutes adequate ties.

So, if you are thinking to apply again for them then make sure that their must be a significant change in their circumstances, true intention to leave U.S at the end of temporary stay, and specific travels plan as Section 214(b) of the INA presumes that every B-1/B-2 applicant is an intending immigrant. You must overcome this legal presumption.
