Last time I travelled to USA from Canada by road with my new passport. No stamp on my passport for crossing the border. Also no record is found online on I-94 website.
When I enter my old passport number I am able to see all my travel history but the last time I entered in July and came back in January. The total stay was 5 months and 8 days.
I came back to Canada by air. My U.S. visitor visa was in my old expired passport and I used my new passport to travel. I have tried putting both passports and no recent record is being showed. With my new passport there is no record.
While I was in USA I went to deferred inspection to verify this and also to find out my length of stay permitted because there was no stamp on it.
The officer told me that she can see the record of my recent visit in her system and she said generally when there is no stamp on your passport you can stay upto 6 months.
I am travelling to India now from Canada and will be going to USA from India in March. I was wondering if I should be worried.
