Cancelling and Rescheduling appointment

Has anyone cancelled an appointment and rescheduled it? Do we need to fill-in the DS-156 and DS-157 again? Or we can just reuse them and make an appointment?

Please advise.

If u are rescheduling it for the first time u need not cancell it.u can just change ur date coz i did the same

Thanks for the quick reply. I already rescheduled once. We originally scheduled the interview in English (since dates for Tamil were not available). I see dates available for Tamil now. So, I thought of cancelling the already rescheduled (existing ) appointment in English and make a new appointment in Tamil. But I am not sure, if they would save the forms (DS-156 and 157) when cancelling the appointment.

yes i did

initially i booked appointment for my parents in english

i saw dates are available in telugu...

so i cancelled the appointment ....and tried to book appointment in telugu
i had to fill up DS-156, DS-157 again for both my father and mother
but still got appointment in january....
i guess you can get the appointment...good luck

Can any one please give me instruction by instruction to reschedule an appoinment.
I have a confirmed appointment on mar and want to reschedule it to jan.
it is not allowing me to do it,
I am using reschedule/cancel option.

You can reschedule your interview appointment only once. If you have wish to reschedule a second time, you will need to first cancel the existing appointment and then schedule a new appointment.

Your fee receipt issued by HDFC Bank is valid for one year from date of issue and can be used for subsequent new appointments within the validity period of the receipt.

You can reschedule or cancel an appointment online up to 2 working days before the date of interview (5 working days where the interview has been scheduled in Mumbai)You can reschedule your interview appointment only once. If you have wish to reschedule a second time, you will need to first cancel the existing appointment and then schedule a new appointment.

So if you cancel your first appointment (after first reschedule) then again you have to fill the application forms.

You can reschedule the appointment only if the original appointment is submitted via VFS.

If the appointment entered using 'TT Services' (old system) then you can not modify the appointment using VFS.

I tried to reschedule
it is not allowing, so cancelled and entered all the details
by the time i entered ,i got it for 10th, when i started it was 6th.
stupid VFS site,
there is no proper instructions how to reschedule.

I haven't used the system personally but this is what someoen told me abt it:

Click on the Reschedule Appt Tab
Then click on "Do you have BEP ID"
Then continue to next screen
Enter the details required
Next screen shows a table which listing your appointment, Select every one and click Continue
It will show a warning popup that " Rescheduling can be done only once" , Click on Yes to continue
A calendar will be shown where the free slots will be displayed
Click to continue, one more message telling that rescheduling is allowed only once appears and if clicked, the appointment gets rescheduled and also the new docs are listed for download , all the other forms remain the same, only the interview letter changes showing the new appointment .
