Visa with a tatkal scheme passport

Hi all
I have head that if one gets apssport thru tatkal scheme their visa wud get stamped only for 6 months( ie no multiple entry visa)..is it true??

There is no such thing.

There is no relation between how fast you got the passport and how long visa you will get.

Passport is issued by Government of India and visa is issued by Government of US. Totally independent.

I am not too sure abt that but I think the tatkal passport is valid for just one year or so. Not too sure.
