My parents are here now on Visitors visa with multiple entry - but because of a death (my grandfather) , they have to return back home but they have to come back here to help me with my new baby. Could someone let me know if there is any time period restrictions in between travel from India for people with Visitor visa.

There is no restriction as per law and rules but officers at POE may question about their reentry so early. If the officer believe that the purpose of visit is genuine and valid, then they will be allowed as usual.

It may turn out as a negative factor, if they tell that they are coming to take care of your kid at POE.
