I got the receipt information from my sister after she paid the application fees at the HDFC bank. With that information I wanted to get an appointment date from the http://www.vfs-usa.co.in website but I get some kind of SERVER ERROR.
Here's what I did ...
1. On the home-page I clicked on the "Apply for a non-immigrant visa" tab on the top.
2. That took me to a page where I clicked the "continue" button at the bottom.
3. Next it asked me if I had a BEP user id and I clicked on "No".
4. That took me to the next page where there were 3 choices and I clicked on the first one "Create a new application".
5. That fails and I get a page which says "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".
Funny thing is that on the page with the 3 choices I clicked on the second as well as the third one i.e. "Retrieve/Modify Saved Application" and "download details of a confirmed appointment" and they both took me to a valid next page which was a form to fill in the receipt information.
I just can't seem to be able to create a new application. Anyone else have this problem ? I tried with IE as my browser as well as Firefox and Opera ... same error every time.
Any help/info will be appreciated.
