Hi,
I am currently on a H1B visa in US. I would like my parents to come visit me here in US on a B1 visa. My parents are Indian citizens but my father is currently practicing medicine outside India. They appreared at the US Consulate in that country few months ago for a B1 Visa but were denied a visa. The reason cited by the visa officer at that time was 'insufficient social ties in that country' (which is probably true).
My question is….what are their chances if they appear at a US consulate in India for a B1 visa ? My parents have their respective families in India and have enough real estate property to justify 'Social ties to India' however, I just wanted to make sure if they would face any problem given the fact that my father does not 'currently' live in India.
Any help you can provide will be appreciated. Thank You.
