Tourist Visa for my Brother

Hi,

I am planning to sponsor my brother to visit me in the US. I am on 1 visa. He is currently working in India with 2 years experience.
He applied for a tourist visa while studying and gor rejected (about 2 years ago). What are the chances of him getting a successful visa? Do you think he has greater chance of rejection than getting a visa?

It depends almost wholly on your brother's situation. Things that need to be assessed are:

- Does he have a stable, well paying job that he would credibly want to come back to?
- What are his ancillary circumstances: family, marital status etc.

The secondary consideration will be you as the one paying for his visit. Your job, your visa status.

The visa officer typically looks at the composite picture the applicant presents and decides.
