Extension of stay and tourist visa renewal

Hi all,

Have a question related to the visitor's visa. My Mom will be visiting US in June and like to extend her stay till June 2016. But her 10 year multiple entry visa is to expire in Dec 2016. Would there be any negative consequences during the renewal because of her recent extension of stay in the US.

I appreciateif you can share your thoughts/experiences on this.

I don't recommend extension of her stay, unless it's really important/unavoidable.

It may turn negative some times, especially if they deny the extension.

What is your status in the USA?
