Hi all
I got Australian permanent residency in December 2014. I want to travel usa for two weeks. What visa i have to apply n chances for the visa? I have permanent job n I'm earning around $64k/year. But I don't have any relatives in usa. Do i need sponsorship to get the visa?

If your purpose is tourism/business, then B1/B2 visa is appropriate.

You don't need to have any relatives in the USA or sponsorship either. You may apply with your own credentials and self sponsor is the best option for B visa.

You need to demonstrate to VO, that you have non immigrant intent, strong family, financial and social ties to the home country/a foreign country, which ensures your return to that country, at the end of your trip, to qualify for the B visa.

As per my knowledge, you have good chances.
Fill the genuine information in DS160 form carefully, and repeat the same answers at interview.

You may require pay slips, leave letter from your employer and your travel itinerary.

It won't help you getting visa. But, in case.. your visa not approved, you have to loose money.
