  • Is, 3 people for Visitors Visa, Risky ??

Does any one know if taking the visa interview appointment for mom, dad, and grandma as a family, so that they could attend the interview in 1-shot, a risky proposition??

Just paid the fees and obtained the barcodes; should I take a seperate appt for grandma (over 70 years?)

    Hi!

    Yes and No

Yes if you have others ties in India to show/prove that they would go back. Also you have enough funds to show you can sponser all three of them(if you are sponsering the trip).

No if you don't have other strong ties to India then you can get your mom and dad go first and show your grandma as a strong tie and then your grnadma could go for the interview.

      Enough Funds???

      Sonujan:

Thanks for your reply. When you say enough funds:

      1) Iam single, unmarried, with no dependents, been in US for 8 years, got my greencard 4 years back, and have enough funds in the bank; Is it sufficient to show that I have enough funds to support them??

      2) Since "enough funds" is a subjective issue, what is the downside if I take 2 seperate appointments, except for the second appt inconvenience??

Pls advise as I have to use the barcodes and take an appt on vfs site, asap

        Hi!

        Hi!
Enough fund applies to both the cases be it they going as a group or not.

You need to see if you can prove enough ties back there in India to prove to them that your folks would definately go back.
