  • Selected B1/B2 visa instead of B2 by mistake:

    Hello All,

I need urgent help. Mistakenly i selected B1/B2 visa for my dad and B2 for my mother. They have interview scheduled next week. I think it is not possible to change that information. Is there any way to get around this issue?
Or should they attend interview normally and when asked about that , reply honestly?
    Thanks.

    That's not a problem.

This is my opinion, not a legal advice.

        Thanks all for your reply.
So when they ask about this during interview, should my parents confess that it was mistake done while filling DS160 form and came to know about it after paying fees?

Probably VO will not question about that. In case asks, they may explain the situation.

            Final Update

An update to what happened during interview:
Consulate didn't asked any question. Just the interpreter asked "Who is ZZZ?"
My mom replied he's my son.

That was it. Visa application got approved.

Thanks everyone for their help and support.

I guess you can postpone your appointment and try to call them and ask before you go,

                Same problem

I filled up the forms for me and my family (wife, children and parents) and in the VISA Class I filled B1/B2. Actually there is no "business" involved and and it is purely tourism. Should I change the form to B2 as I still have 1 day time for changing?
