Help - Mom b2 visa status showing administration process

My mom applied vistor visa on 19th march 2015 and VO said your visa has been approved .
When I am checking online its showing Administration process :
"Administrative Processing
Application ID or Case Number: ABCDEFCGF
Case Creation Date: 19-Mar-2015
Status Updated Date: 20-Mar-2015

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days."

Can any one please let me know what does that mean ? and how long I should wait as I was thinking of booking her ticket.
What should i do to know status of visa is it approved or there are chances it can be rejected ?

If the VO Cleary said that "Your Visa is Approved", then this message just means they are formalizing. Updating information on their systems and printing/stamping Visa. I would suggest wait until the end of this week. Keep checking everyday to see if there is an update. Usually should not take more than a week to 10 days (max what I have seen).

My opinion, not to book any tickets until you have the actual stamped passport in hand.
Also which city? And what is the option you chose for delivery?

Visa was in delhi and I choose Delhi location to pickup visa.

In response to your question, we would like to inform you that, your mother's visa application is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of your visa interview or the submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later. When additional administrative processing is required, the length of processing time will vary based on the circumstances of each case hence, we will not be able to provide any timeframe for the same.

Ok..

Hold case/221 G & Refusals/214B means they are validating or pondering over the information provided in the application. The code usually suggests that its on hold maybe because not sufficient financial stability documents were provided. And they will decide whether to grant the visa or deny. They may reach out for additional information, which is very unlikely.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do, but wait. I would suggest keep patience and regularly check status on the website.

Also if you dont see any update in a month, send another email and check.

Check with any friends or on the net, many might have similar experiences. From what I know, the only option is to wait it out.

This is just my opinion.

Hi, the same happened to me. I had my interview on March 20th and the VO said that our visas were approved. On March 24th it appeared as administrative processing, and I got worried about it. But on March 25th it changed to Issued, and that I would receive my tracking number within 10 working days.

I am sure yours will change to Issued too. Now I am just waiting to get the tracking number!

My Sister went for VISA Interview on March 3rd 2015 for B2 visa in SIngapore and the status shows

" Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days".

She's needs to attend a Tech Conference in Philadelphia on April 20 , i'm worried much about the status of the VISA and we contacted US Embassy Singapore through email and they asked us to wait for some time. Is anyone had a similar situation like this before, bcz after the approval ,have to get tickets which will be very expensive.

Couldn't get your last line of the MSG.. can you send it again.. bcz one of my sister's friend who applied for the same conference got her VISA on the same day but for my sister they asked for abstract of her conference technical stuffs.. so it's bit worrying for us ..

Yes it means, your visa is issued and you should get your passport soon. Keep checking the page for relevant tracking information.

Me and my wife have applied the B1/B2 Visa .We have appeared for the interview on 14th July .The VO after Interview told our Visa got approved and we will be getting our password with 3-4 days . I have received my passport on 16th July . But for my wife passport status showing necessary Administrative Processing .No change after 14th July .

I sent the mail to Embassy though no response .

Any suggestion
