Tourist travel to US from UK

Hi,

I am currently located in UK working with an Indian employer (on work permit) who has an office here in UK.

I am planning to travel to US for a vacation. Can someone please advice on the process for this please ?

I have a valid H1 visa (valid for 1 more year from now). Is it an advantage or disadvantage ? H1 visa is stamped from my previous employer in India.
