Return Ticket Mandatory for Tourist Visa?

Hi,

My parents are visiting us next month, i am in plan to book only one way ticket for them, and upon return we can book the ticket along with us.

Is it OK to travel from India with one way ticket? is it mandatory to have return ticket on hand? it will create any problem in POE?

Yes, return ticket should be booked to board the flight.

If airline people didn't ask for the return ticket and allow them to board the flight, POE officials surely question them about their return ticket.
