B2 Hearing impaired special needs

my mother is 65 yr and hearing impaired and using a hearing aid, has to new delhi us consulate for visa interview.
question
1. does consulate allow the hearing aid/device to pass security barriers

2. does us consulate provide some special assistance to people with special needs ? if yes, then what is the way to apply/request for that.
