  • Declared "Tourism" in DS-156. Can/Should this be changed?

    Hi,
My parents visa got rejected first time, 3 months back. I booked another appointment for them in Jan 2006 declaring tourism in DS156 form.
Mean while, my 2 months son was diagnosed with a problem and he has to undergo a surgery. We want my parents to be here during this.

Please can any one give any suggestions, as what would be the best approach to tell the consulate officer, should they stick to their purpose of trip as torurism as we mentioned it on DS-156 form, or can they mention about their grand son. Will this be interpreted as baby sitting or some kind of work.
I booked my appointment thru VFS site, and filled the DS-156 form. Now, can we create a new DS-156 form, downloading from internet, or should we use the same form that we filled when we booked the appointment.
Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.
    Harani.

    hi

since they do not seem to consider pregnancy, new baby etc as a valid reason to apply for visa, my suggestion is just stick with your original plan of tourism.

Sorry to hear abt ur son. I personally hope ur parents get the visa.
