  • how many chances are there for my widow mom

    My Mom is a widow and my only brother lives in Australia.I am her daughter in US.But she has relatives and property etc in India.Are these all the negative points to get a visa? Her interview is on 9th JAn.I am really tensed.Pls give some tips.

      The best thing to do is never mention that your mom is a widow.

      One of y collegues mother-in-laws visa was rejected because she was widow and around 60 yrs age.

      Nut One of my friends mom got visa. But they did not mention that she was a widow. They showed that they have one more unmarried son/daughter is still in india and father can not come because he is still working and cannot get vacation. No sure of the exact details..

      Its better not to metion that she is a widow unless it is obvious from the passport or anyother document which will be looked upon by the consulate.

      I think its a matter of taking risk.
