Changing DS-160 after submission.

I have recently submitted my DS-160 and my appointment at the embassy has been scheduled next month. I have stated in my application that my grand aunt is sponsoring for the trip. But my grand aunt suddenly withdrew her sponsorship because she's leaving US during my intended travel month. Is it possible to change the information in my DS-160 and state another person who will sponsor my trip or where I'll be staying? Or can I change the tourist visa into student visa using the same MRV fee receipt number?

I am not an expert but from the little i know, you can fill another ds-160 with the right information anytime before you interview and resubmit it. Its the confirmation slip you will print out that will be used to pull up your application during ur interview. Abt changing your visa type, remember there are different processes/requirement with different type of visa application. If you have arranged your paper work and information for visitors visa and u want to suddenly change ur application without changing paper work, u could run into some trouble as with student visas you will need an i-20 and some other information.
