Spouse status for sponsoring in laws.

Hi,

I came to US on L1B in Nov 2004 and i want to sponsor my in laws. My husband is self employed and we did not get any chance for filling IT return for him in USA. We are getting first chance of filling W2 for him in Jan 2006.

I have shown zero dependent on me while feeling form I134. Do they ask any proof for my husband's income?

If yes what kind of proof i can submit? can his bank statement fulfil the purpose.

Would really appreciate your guidance.

Hi!

Did you not file your tax returns for 2004? We came here in Nov 2001 BUT we did file the taxes for 2001 for the incomes in Nov and Dec.

Also they might just ask what your husband is doing they will generally not ask abt his income.
