Hi all,


I recieved emails from VFS today with resheduled date as from January 11th to January 21st.

I recieved 2 e-mails one for my mother and one for my father, but the name typed for my fathre is wrong. They have typed as Ashish Jain instead of my Fathre's name in the appointment letter. Is any one in the group by this name? I think this is just a typo.
I wrote e-mail back to vfs asking for the name correction.

Why did she need

Why did she need her birth certificate? Isn't it sponsor's birth certificate which consulate needs for visior visa????

She doesn't, As per I know. My parents never took their birth certificate to consulate. They only need to carry their son/daughter's birth certificate who is sponsoring..

appointment reschedule email from vfs

I took an appointment for my parents in regional language on 11th January 2006 at 7:45 AM. Today morning I recieved an email stating that their interview is reshceduled on 21st January 2006 between 10 AM to 12PM.

My MIL and FIL appointments also moved to 21st from 11th but it was addressed to different names. What shall I do? I sent them a mail. Also no time mentioned in that. What time do they go?

My in-laws Jan 18th'2006 appointment has been postponed to February 11th'2006 (saturday).

Due to an error, there has been a significant overbooking in the nonimmigrant visa appointments scheduled for the month of January 2006. The Consulate has been forced to move some appointments from January 18, 2006 to February 11, 2006.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Please note the time and date of your new appointment and be assured that we shall process your application on that date.

Please do not come to the Consulate on the date originally scheduled, as your name will not be in our records and we will not be able to process your application.

If the new date is not convenient, please reschedule an appointment in March or April 2006 or later in the year. You may only reschedule via the VFS website after your original appointment has passed.

Jan appointment

My parents Jan appointment on 18th got postponed to feb 11th, which is nearly a month. Feb 11th is saturday. I am not sure how the appointments are getting postponed. Are they choosing randomly or all the appointments are postponed?

what is I left it as unacknowledged..will it remain on jan 18th itself???
even if I acknowlegde, the interview letter is not reflecting the changed date. How can I be sure that my interview on feb 11th is confirmed???

My parents are working and we had made all plans...this postponment of nearly a month is highly dissastifying.
