Work from home on a B2 visa for indian job

Hi All

i am visiting my brother in chicago for 15 days. I work as a system admin in india, my question is if i can work for indian client who will not pay me in USA incase of any server issues.

Or simpler words can i work over VPN if my office requires it in emergency, or would that be illegal.

just wanted to know before i fly out.

Though not legal in the true sense, but I think it would be fine, its normally an issue with prolonged stays and yet working in US without proper authorizations.
