I am in the process of applying visitor's visa for my parents.
My father visited US in Nov'2000 for 20 days and while returning he says he remember's submitting his I-94 (though not 100% sure, 8 yrs in a long time and he is now old)
I checked the online website to get his I-94 or previous visit history with his old passport # ( as he had to renew his passport in 2013) and new passport # , however there is no data found.
(I believe they have data of past 5 years read it on cbp website)
Also, the old passport was not handed over to him , so he cant show the stamp of his arrival at India airport.(though new passport has the old passport #)
My question is, during the visa interview or at the port of entry (if he gets the visa), would he face any issues to prove that he did not overstay or anything. (as I have been reading online, if there is no I94 data, then it is considered as an overstay case)
back in 2000 , there were no finger prints or photographs taken at the port of entry
I am aware I can request for his arrival/departure details, but that will take like 4 months and we do not want to wait for that long.
I would really appreciate your help/response in this matter.
Thanks in advance
