Hi,
I am currently in USA on H1B visa. My visa is valid until July 2016 but since my passport expires in Jan 2016 I was provided with I-94 only until Jan 2016. I have already applied for passport renewal. I am also planning to apply for visa extension so that I-94 gets extended too.
I am planning to sponsor my parents and in-laws for a trip to USA in another couple of months. Since my I-94 is valid only until 7 more months (Also my visa extension will be in progress), will there be a problem in getting visa for parents and in-laws? Also, during their port of entry will they be not given I-94 to stay beyond Jan 2016?
Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
