  • Questions abouts B2 Visa

    Hi,
My husband wants his friends to come to USA on a visitor visa for about two months, he sent all the documents back feb but his friend did not go for visa appointment till now due to his constrains, he wants to attend for the visa interview now (he is working for defense Gov. of India). Now my questions are:

    1. Is the paper work still valid? or do we have to send it again? since its been 5 months almost

    2. In case if his visa gets rejected does he have to pay the visa fees again for another interview?

    3. Right now my husband only sent the invitation just to his friend not to his family(wife and two kids), will it be a better idea to invite all of them together?

thank you very much in advance.

    1. Send the latest. 5 Months is too long a time.
    2. Yes.
    3. I would say better to invite all. It would otherwise seem odd that only the friend was invited to visit not the family.

To be honest, friend invitation is viewed skeptically. Your spouse's friend would still need to show valid and strong ties to home country in order to get a visa.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
