Sponsor documents - info reg W2 form

Hi,
Iam a new user of this forum and i would appreciate if someone could helpme in this.
Iam preparing sponsor documents for my mother... i have not filed any taxes in US since i have not completed an year at US.
So i donot have a W2 form to be sent to my mother. Is that ok or what should i do??? Please guide me in this regard.

When is your mom's appointment date? If it is early next year then you can file your taxes and by then you would have also recieved your W2.

It just depends on when is teh appointment. Else prepare them to answer to the question regarding taxes and W2 if asked.

My mom's interview date is on Jan 3rd 2006. As of now i have just adviced my mom to answer them that i have not filed any taxes in US since i have not completed an year.

Please let me know if this is fine or do i need to send any letter??

Hi!
I think they would understand if you mention to them that you haven't yet filed your taxes. Rather than telling you haven't completed a year yet, I think it's best to tell that the year just ended and this was your first year here and that you plan to file it now.

It's not a bad idea for you to write a note to the Consulate explianing the same. BUT let your mom explain it herself if they still ask her questions or if they are not satisfied with wht she says ask her to hand the letter that you sent.
