I am traveling to Ghana in a couple of months to visit my grandson. He lives there with his other grandmother. What forms do I need to get a visa for him to travel back to the United States with me for a visit? I see no form for a grandchild. Can I apply for a visa for him before I leave for Ghana? Should I mark the box that says son on the visa application or is there a special application? Or should I file for guardianship?

There is no visa for grandchildren.
Does your grandson have a US Citizen parent who can petition for him?
Tourist (B-2) visas are available but they are tough to get.Last edited by inadmissible; 05-28-2015, 06:08 PM.

Would it be easier to get him immigrant ststus? Or could the parents petition for their son to be allowed to come to the US?
