USA Visitor Visa Renewal...

My friend's dad applied for visitor VISA but he was approved only 1 year of visa after 221g clearance. If he reapplies for renewal when 3 months are left for how much time period he will be given renewal. My mom applied too but she got 10 years of approval.

I doubt anyone can predict the outcome of a tourist visa renewal. You have to be prepared for the entire spectrum of outcomes.
