Help needed Passport Stolen with Valid B1/B2 visitor USA visa
Hello guys,
I searched online but didnt find any answer for this,
I am an international student in Canada with valid Legal status i.e. study permit.
I got USA tourist visa issued this year on Feb27 2015, and then a month ago all of my documents including my passport with USA VISITOR visa on that passport got stolen from my house.
I have already reported to concerned authorities at USA consulate regarding theft of my passport and USA VISA.
I filed police complaint and have original copy of it and I also got another new passport from my country's embassy. I have also got my valid student permit back.
My questions are:
1. Do i have to go to USA consulate again for getting visa back?
2. As of now, I dont have CANADA VISA STAMP on my NEW ISSUED PASSPORT, but I do have all other documents which I showed at the time of issue of USA tourist visa,
so Can I reappear/reapply for interview/appointment at consulate to get USA tourist back or do I have to get that CANADIAN visa stamp back on my passport?
