H1B expiring need to call parents

Guys-
My H1B is expiring in May 2006 and i need to call my parents in April 2006 . I am applying for the extension but i am not sure whether i will get the approved by April 06 . Can i send the receipt for the H1B extension as the document along with the current H1B visa . Will that work or i need a approved notice .

U don't need approved h1 extension. send the receipt and copy of any other papers relating to the extension along with ur currect H1.

Even if it is a 7th year extension .

if u file for extension before the expiry of current i94 u are considered to be in valid status
please send copies of current i94 and receipt notice along with the other rquired docs.
