  • Bank Statement for Visitor Visa

I am trying to complete all the documentation required for My parents Visitor Visa. For some reason Bank Of America is not ready to give Bank Statement with all the details that I want at banking center. The only way I can get that is through Phone and it typically takes more than 2 weeks. I got some printouts from banking center with their stamp on it (not on their letter head ,Not signed). I can get all the Bank statements......Do you think it will work. My parents are having a Appointment on Jan 10th. Other than that I got all other documentation. Too late for me to get the bank statement now. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Raghu

I ordered by verification letter through the same bank 10 days ago and still waiting for that letter. I think the interview officer sometimes asks for this letter.

So there is no way that i am getting this statement soon..So My only chances are to risk to send my parents to Consulate with bank statements and printouts from BOA.

Sometimes the consular officer doesnt ask for any documents at all. I really cant say if you should reschedule. It may be worth it just to let them go with the stamped statements.

Proper Bank Consular letter is a must requirement along with the application.
Better to have a notarized Consular letter from your bank

It all depends on the Consular officer. But the consulate website highly recommends that you get a letter from the bank duly signed. I got mine from WellsFargo and they charged $10 and took abt 10 days to reach me. I have accounts in 3 banks and I was able to get the letter only from 2. I sent them, but the officer did not look at it at all and granted the visa.

                Good luck.

This may sound strange. But I tried 4-6 different branches, and one branch Personnal banker helped me in getting a statement on Bank of america letter head.......So It all worked out. Thank you for each and everyone for their replies.

But BOA sounds really wierd for not ready to give a letter stating your account details. They say it hurts their privacy policy. May be we can add a note on this website below bank statements(If you are BOA customer please get statement before 1-2 months of processing date, I know many people have BOA accounts).

                  Thanks,
                  Raghu

For the other branches, did u specifically say "You need an account verification letter for immigration purposes' ?

what I did was that I sent the print-outs from the online account summary, when my mother-in-law went for the interview this week. And it worked.
